Appendix "B" - BPFL Golf Tournament Agenda

Deciding Teams

Before teeing off, 4 pairs of tickets (8 total - one for each owner) are put into a hat numbered 1A/2A through 1D/2D.  After selecting a ticket, the number and letter combination on it determines what foursome you're playing in, and who your partner will be for the 2 man best ball game played during the round.

The number 1 or 2 determines what foursome you are in, and the matching letters in each group determine the partners for the games.

2 Man Best Ball

Each player plays an honest 18 on their own ball.  After the round, both partners take their best score of the two from each hole and total a "best ball" score for the team over 18 holes.  The team with the lowest 18 hole best ball score wins.

Skins Game

An individual skins game is also played during the round.  Basically there are 18 even skins, one for each hole, and a player must have the lowest score outright on a hole to win a skin.  Starting with the 1st hole, if a skin isn't won it carries over to the next hole - and so on - until it is won.  The winner of the skin gets all of the skins carried over to that point, and the next hole starts anew.

If a skin carries over after the 18th hole, the winner of the first skin of the round gets those skins.

Snake

Simply put, the last person in each foursome to 3-putt a green buys a round of beers in the clubhouse for the foursome.  Each player must always putt in turn during the entire round as to ensure the snake gets passed around to correct 3-putter on each hole.

Game Dues and Payouts

Each player pays $12.00 to the pot.

This leaves a prize pot of $96.00.  The winning best ball team splits $60 two ways, and the remaining $36 accounts for the skins game at $2 a hole for 18 holes.

This prize layout is negotiable depending on how lucky all of the boys are feeling at tee time.
